Enjoy an evening in Paris while supporting Niagara’s youth
The Foundation for Family and Children’s Services Niagara is hosting its 25th Annual Charity Gala on May 3, 2024, at John Michael’s Banquet and Event Centre. This year’s event, Springtime in Paris, will transport gala-goers to the cherry blossoms and berets of Paris, France.
Guests will be welcomed with a cocktail reception, wine wall, and silent auction, before enjoying the night’s program where they will enjoy a Parisian inspired meal, hear from youth who have received support from FACS Niagara, and help raise funds for children and youth in care.
All proceeds from this event will support the programs and services FACS Niagara offers to the children, youth, and families it serves, such as education grants.
Generous donors have enabled the provision of substantial support to young people, as they receive grants each year to put towards their educational pursuits. Last year alone, 63 young people received education grants, assisting in the cost of postsecondary education and career training.
The impact of this initiative was articulated by one of the program’s past beneficiaries during the 2023 Gala as she affirmed, “my story would not have been possible without nights like this and people like you.”
This ongoing commitment to supporting educational endeavors, among other programs, underscores the importance of community support in aiding the empowerment of youth in care.
“Our organization offers a wide range of programs and services for the children, youth and families in our community that are designed to help them thrive,” says Brett Sweeney, Director of Communications and Community Engagement. “That is why the support from our donors and community partners is essential for our impactful work, as an engaged community is a thriving community.”
Gala tickets are now available and can be reserved by visiting the event website or www.facsniagarafoundation.org.
