Just when children and youth supported by FACS Niagara most need summer camp experiences, there won’t be any overnight camps and there may not be any day camps this July or August either.
That’s why we developed “Summer Smiles At Home!”
Children, Youth and Families Need
Your Emergency Support
As the COVID-19 crisis continues, it is increasingly difficult for the vulnerable children, youth and families served by FACS Niagara to meet even their most basic needs. Families needing to turn to food banks or other community resources are finding those supports overwhelmed.
That’s why we need your help for vulnerable families and youth – to ensure they have what they need to make it through this crisis.

Family & Children’s Services Niagara works with some of our community’s most vulnerable children and their families.
While FACS Niagara works to protect children and youth and strengthen families, the Niagara Foundation for Family & Children’s Services provides enrichments and opportunities to help local kids and families to be the best they can be.
Although FACS receives funding to provide protection and support services, the FACS Foundation raises funds to provide recreational and educational supports to children and youth, to help youth with the transition to independence, and to make capital improvements for appropriate community facilities.
Thanks to the community’s support, each year:
- More than 400 children attend summer camp;
- More than 30 youth receive bursaries for post secondary education;
- More than 90 youth get help with the transition from foster or group-home care to living independently in the community.
Annual Gala Raises $60,000:
- Thanks to the generous support of sponsors, donors, and guests the RBC 21st Annual FACS Niagara Charitable Gala raised more than $60,000 (net) – the most ever!
